Latin American Carbon Forum
Fifth Latin American and Caribbean Carbon Forum, Santo Domingo, 13-15 October 2010
The Latin American and Caribbean Carbon (LACCF) is a regional
platform established to promote knowledge and information sharing
while facilitating business opportunity environments among main
carbon market stakeholders. The LACCF is organized on a yearly
basis by a partnership among the World Bank, OLADE, IETA, and the
UNEP Risoe Centre. This year the IDB and UNCTAD have joined as new
members to the LACCF partnership.
The Fifth LACCF will be held from October 13-15, 2010 in Santo
Domingo, Dominican Republic, at the
Intercontinental - V Centenario Santo Domingo Hotel.
The core objective of the Fifth LACF is to bring together main
actors of the carbon market including:
- Project owners, project developers and potential CDM sectoral
institutions;
- National climate change focal points, national Clean
Development Mechanism offices, Investment Promotion Agencies,
Designated National Authorities;
- Service providers, financial institutions and intermediary
companies
